payments + deposit policy
-A 25% non-refundable retainer is required to book and secure your session date. Sent via invoice. The remaining balance is due 24 hours before or at your session before starting.
-Payments are accepted via cash or Venmo per invoice
-Retainers are non-refundable, but sessions may be rescheduled once with at least 48 hours' notice. Late cancellations or no-shows will result in loss of the retainer.
-Photos will not be delivered until the balance is paid in full. 📸
photo ownership agreement
-All photographs taken by @smithrileyphotography remain the property and copyright of the photographer. Clients receive a personal-use license to download, share, and print their images.
-Photos may not be altered, edited, sold, or used for commercial purposes without written permission from the photographer.
-The photographer reserves the right to use images for portfolio, website, social media, advertising, and promotional purposes unless the client requests otherwise in writing prior to the session.
-By booking a session, the client agrees to these terms. 📸
Editing style agreement
-By booking a session clients acknowledge that images will be edited in the photographer’s consistent artistic style. This includes color tones, lighting adjustments, and overall aesthetic chosen by the photographer.
-Basic editing such as color correction, exposure adjustments, and light retouching is included. Requests for heavy retouching, body alterations, or major edits may be declined or subject to an additional fee.
-By booking, the client agrees to trust the photographer’s editing style and creative direction.
-Final edited images will be delivered within 2–3 weeks after the session date unless otherwise stated. During busy seasons, turnaround time may extend slightly, but clients will be notified if delays occur.
-Images will be delivered through an online gallery for viewing, downloading, and printing.
-By booking a session, the client acknowledges and agrees to the stated turnaround time.
